Adopt-a-Highrise

Lift Urban Portland is looking for volunteers to host a game night, serve a spaghetti dinner, teach a class, or coordinate activities that promote education or community connections.

The member congregations of Lift Urban Portland adopt Home Forward apartment buildings housing elders, persons with disabilities, and people with limited incomes. Volunteers host group activities, which build both community and individual relationships.

Volunteer Needs

Activities Coordinator: Organize and distribute information about upcoming volunteer opportunities and recruit volunteers.

General Volunteer: Join a team as your congregation hosts community events and serves neighbors in an adopted building. Events can also be organized by individuals, a school, or  a local business. Please contact our Volunteer Program Manager for details:
