What is a Food + Fund Drive?
A Food + Fund Drive is one way to help turn that idea of choice into something tangible. Participants can collect shelf-stable food, raise funds, or do both — adding variety to the food available while giving Lift UP the flexibility to fill gaps across our programs and respond as community needs change.
Drives can be in person, virtual, or hybrid, so organizations can participate in a way that works for their people, capacity, and community.
Food brings variety. Funds bring flexibility. Together, they create more ways to say yes when a neighbor needs food.
Across Portland, organizations, businesses, schools, and faith communities are contributing to the same local food network, helping Lift UP keep more food, more variety, and more choice moving through our community.

How It Works:
Choose Your Drive
Decide what works best for your organization:

Food Drive: Collect shelf-stable food donations.

Fund Drive: Raise funds to support Lift UP’s food access programs — every $10 provides the equivalent of 7 meals.

Hybrid Drive: Our most popular option, combining both food and financial donations.
For Fund and Hybrid Drives, Lift UP will create a customized giving page for your organization to share with employees, members, customers, friends, and family.

We’ll help make your drive easy to share and easy to participate in.
If you’re collecting food, Lift UP will arrange for a collection bin. Picking up your bin directly from Lift UP is encouraged when possible, as it helps us conserve staff capacity and transportation resources for our broader food access work.
You’ll also have access to our Food + Fund Drive Toolkit, social media materials, and email templates to help you introduce the campaign, share updates, and keep your community engaged throughout the drive.
For Fund and Hybrid Drives, your customized giving page can be shared throughout your organization and with your wider community.
